Katha Chopais

Mahāmohu mahiseshu bisālā | ramkathā kālikā karālā ||
महामोहु महिषेसु बिसाला । रामकथा कालिका कराला ॥
Appalling ignorance is the gigantic demon Mahisāsura (so-called because he was endowed with the form
of a buffalo); while the narrative of Rāma is the dread Kalika (who made short work of the demon).

Rāmu kām sata koti subhaga tana | durgā koti amita ari mardana ||
रामु काम सत कोटि सुभग तन । दुर्गा कोटि अमित अरि मर्दन ॥
Sri Rama’s body possesses the charm of a mriad Cupids. He is as inexorable in crushing the enemy as
countless millions of Durgas.
